Police have appealed for the public’s help in finding the missing 19-year-old Aseza Ngqalelo from the Lloyd Squatter Camp in Lower Crossroads.
Ngqalelo was last seen on March 28 when she visited a friend.
Police spokesperson Noloyiso Rwexana said Nyanga police were searching for the woman.
“According to her mother, she disappeared from home while wearing black jeans, a mustard top and navy takkies.
“Police followed up on information and found Aseza’s friend, who said Aseza had visited her and left wearing black jeans, a blue jacket and sandals and carrying a sling (bag),” said Rwexana.

Ward councillor Mboniswa Chitha said the community hoped that the young woman would be found safe.
“It is very saddening that you lose a loved one during this lockdown, where everyone is indoors with their families. No parent would want to lose a child.
“This is very devastating and we also call on other young and old people to adhere to the regulations of the lockdown because everyone is at risk,” said Chitha.
Ilitha Labantu spokesperson Siyabulela Monakalisi urged anyone with information to come forward.
